Wrapping it Up...

Well...I was just browsing through my photos, desperately trying to come up with some kind of content for a post that wouldn't bore you and me both (there's a lot happening here that I don't want to even try to talk about right now) and realized that I forgot to tell you what I ended up doing on the 4th...

I took the day off from work as planned and went to Jerome with my good friend Steven...

It was a lovely day, although hot...

We started off the day with a hefty lunch from Su Casa down in Clarkdale (my all time favorite Mexican food restaurant...their salsa bar? Amazing!) And, jetted back up the hill to Jerome to try and walk off our food...

It was also Steven's birthday the day before and no one remembered.

Not even me
(I do hang my head in shame)

So, I did take him out to lunch...but would not buy him that tu-tu...he didn't actually say he wanted it...but I could tell! Then again, maybe it was the giraffe?

Jerome is such a fun little place...I haven't been in ages, and I really needed a day away from this place...I mean, a lovely change of scenery from my every-day life.

Really, it keeps one sane.

And, as I now find myself at the end of another week...I am confused. Confused about where the time is going. The sand is running through my fingers, and it seems like there's so much more left to do...so many things I wanted to do, and I can't keep hold of it.

I just stand helplessly and watch it go.

Maybe there's a window of opportunity that I haven't seen yet, maybe a door that hasn't opened...

I hope I find it soon.

Have a good weekend.
(good lord, are we having another Friday the 13th?)

After seeing your eyebrows I'm surprised he remembered his OWN birthday. :-)

Oh! I too love Su Casa. Used to go there when we lived between Clarkdale and Old Cottonwood.

BTW, Old Cottonwood ain't what it used to be: several remodeled and quite fancy bars and eating places. And the old 7-11 bar in Clarkdale also has been gentrified. What a revolting development: just when I've been told not to drink anymore.

I know how you feel. With everything we have to do to just get by, where do we find the time, energy and creativity to live out our dreams? And when real life gets in the way, how do we remember what it was that we wanted to do with our lives? Just remember who you are and all of you dreams and wishes will resurface. You haven't lost it.
Call or write soon. Hope to hear from you soon.
