Thanks Easter Bunny...

...Easter morning found me bounding out of bed (Okay, maybe not quite bounding, but I did jump up and dance around a bit...) Then I put on my special new Easter outfit, sans the traditional Easter Bonnet I acquired this little sweet skirt (a little practice shopping for the Phoenix trip) light grey with lighter little stripes in the most delicate fabric ever, with a little bit of soft grey tulle poking out the bottom...I felt like a ballet dancer or a fairy as I wore it...as a matter of fact, I did ask Dina if I looked like a deranged fairy when I tried it on, but she in all her fashion wisdom, assured me that I did not...

I flitted over to Dina's house early to drop off her and Niko's baskets...I took a little snap shot of hers because it was so over the top! She's been wanting something to store all of her wonderful vintage record collection in, and I happened across this vintage little record holder, which matches her wonderful home decor. I included 2 silly vintage books for girls "Cosmetics, Fact or Fiction" and "Women and Stress" plus a little flocked Paris iron-on, some peep bubbles and a box of tiny cadbury eggs (they're her favorite) Meena, couldn't get enough of her basket, and was pouty when I took it away...

They had packed up a wonderful basket for me as well...bath fizzies, bunny cookie cutters, Dove Bunnies, Chocolate eggs, an amazingly sweet stress bunny to squeeze...more chocolate goodies, which included a bag of Cadbury mini eggs (my FAVORITE Easter candy...but these were dark chocolate eggs, which I've never had before, and were indeed as divine as the regular ones)

I came home and opened a package that came from my father (aren't I good to wait until the actual holiday?) Which included 3 vintage eggs...oh how excited I was, as I was just lamenting the fact...entirely in my own head, how I had not found one little vintage egg this year to add to my collection! We're very intuitive people in this family. The large egg contained the 2 smaller ones, and the smaller ones contained a little vintage velvet beaded strawberry pin cushion, and a small glass nouveau lidded jar with a tiny paper ring in it!

Then my mother picked me up to take me to GG's house for the rest of the celebration (which means more gifts and ton's of food!)

Rozzie knitted and sewed and made the most amazing little owls for us...Oh my, this girl is creative and quite talented...

We hid little peeps (since they're so cute, but we usually don't eat them) And one of them landed on GG's head...that's what happens when you get older...Bow's at Christmas on your head, Eggs at Easter...

We ate a ridiculous amount of food (what's new) and ended it with spice cake and fresh strawberry pie...Rozzie got her very own special made cake...of which she immediately ate all of the icing off of (that's her way)

The Easter bunny brought me a little vintage pansy tin "basket" (like the one's I already have...oh these vintage tins are so amazing, and now I have 3 that are alike) With soy bath stuff, a make-up case with moisturizer, a little bunny candle, Green and Black chocolate bar, bubbles, another vintage paper egg, a vintage cherry table cloth...2 vintage kitty towels, a small vintage baby blanket, a vintage luncheon table cloth...and an amazing paisley smock (so I fit in with all the smock wearers out there)

And, my very own knitted and sewn owl by Rozzie...Oh how I love this little guy...as you can see, he came with adoption papers:

Name: Bobby
Birthdate: 3-28-07
Made With: knitting needles and yarn
Birthtime: 7:00 pm
Named by: Mr. Hoo
Sewn by: Rozzilyn
(and a tracing of the "baby's" left foot)

AND...she painted that little tea bag holder for me at the local pottery painting class...

And, last night Ms. Dina came over to watch The Last Kiss, a movie I'd been wanting to see for some time now. While it did not make my cry, I think I've played every girl roll in that movie...kind of depressing really, which prompted a little realism conversation at the end of the movie. Needless to say, I wasn't too impressed with Zach Braffs (my secret Hollywood boyfriend) character, and what he did in the movie...

Anyway, I think I will spend today recovering from all the damned evil chocolate and food I consumed Sunday...

Thanks Easter Bunny...

I watched that movie this weekend, too! I watched it with my husband, who probably didn't enjoy my not so quiet musings about what weenies all men can be. Anyway, Ms. S., nice waving to you on Saturday! Glad you had a good Easter!

What a wonderful Easter you had. That owl is adorable, I absolutely love it!!I saw The Last Kiss a few weeks ago, I wasn't impressed. Actually it depressed me to think that out of two people in a relationship, one will always cheat, bastard cheaters. Oh...sorry...I don't mean to be bitter, I just wasn't impressed with the movie at all. I mean, at least Lloyd got a pen before he got dumped!!!

You had a busy day!! I'm sure that chocolate didn't even count with everything you did. :D

I'm digging the note Rozzilyn made with her gifts. SUPER COOL.
