It's All In The Details...

So, yesterday was a whilrwind rush...from the moment I jumped out of bed, until I got to fall into it once again (I actually have a couple of emails to write...is it weird to want to send a form letter out to people? Lord, it's like one of those tacky "guess what I've been up to this year?" Xmas card inserts isn't it?)

So, yesterday was the 20th wasn't it? It was coincidentally the anniversary of my re-up with Verizon wireless. I got a cell phone after my divorce, cause' my EX didn't want them while we were married (oh how we let ourselves get talked into the silliest of things) and I love technology...I love gadgets...I love accessories. I think it's fun to learn new things (especially when I remember to give myself patience and the adequate amount of time to learn how to work them)

Now,
I am a saver, and I have been thinking about this purchase for quite some time now, socking a bit of money away here and there...while eagerly anticipating the moment when I would hold this new Red MOTOKRZR in my hot little hands...

I had been misinformed about what I would actually be getting in return for re-upping with a 2 year contract, mainly a $100. credit. Let me break it down for you:

Starting Phone Cost: $150.00
2 year agreement credit: $100.00
Mail-in rebate: $50.00

New Cost of Phone: $00.00

Yes, nothing...nothing at all. Which makes me love Verizon even more. Not only do they have the best coverage in this area...but now I have the most bitchen phone ever (you just can't kill that Valley Girl can you?) And, I ran all the way out to PV before work, so that I would have the phone all day to play with and learn the new phone ropes...I retained all my old programmed numbers, but not my pictures or ringtones (and I had one special picture that I use as my wallpaper...dang it...and a special ringtone for someone I'm smitten with, and I can't get the danged Verizon Get it Now thing to work...grrrr, oh yeah...patience)

And then...in the middle of all of this fun phone-ness, I received a package in the mail from one Special Gal. You see, she lives in SantaFe, and remarked that there is a Toyota dealership that is called Beaver Toyota. OK...I'm sorry, but that is too funny.

It just made me think about the license plate covers...Beaver Toyota...

And what do I get in the mail? A license plate cover AND the thing that goes inside of it...

I have that phone in blue! I love it! It's more fun than a phone should be. And I may be 12 but I think Beaver Toyota is hysterical. I used to work with a woman who graduated from Beaver College. Oh, the jokes we would make.
