Conversation with Ms. Dina in the car last evening after a celebratory dinner:

Ms. D: Would you like a mint?
Me: An Altoid...the curiously strong peppermint?! (my standard answer when presented with an Altoid tin) Yes Please...
Ms. D: So, Charlie called these "Altoids...The Unusually Potent Peppermints" the other day.
Me: No.
And then we laughed...
for more than a block...
and then laughed some more...

He should really go into advertising...I think that's a catchy little phrase.
snort.
Yesterday was indeed a milestone...and almost snuck by without a bit of recognition on my part, only that I'd been feeling a little off emotionally for the days preceding it...sad, lonely, angry and confused as why I was suddenly feeling this way...then I remembered...that little anniversary. I know that someday this date will pass with a little sigh, and be marked as yet another passing day in another passing year. And thank you all...I have indeed grown. Sometimes rushing thorough without hardly realizing things were changing and sometimes so painfully slow, I didn't feel like I was moving at all and with the fear that I would be stuck forever.
And yet...here I am.

I think we're all enjoying the scenery of your journey! You lead by example. Congratulations on all that you are!

They are potent. :) Personally I dig the Cinnamon the most!
Have you tried the chocolate covered ones? They make my eyes roll into the back of my head in ecstasy!
The plain ginger ones aren't bad, either... You can get those at Cost Plus.
The anniversary may be approaching, by my, oh my, what a different woman you are now compared to one year ago! Like a fine wine, my dear, you just keep getting better.
Altoids!!! I LOVE the Cinnamon ones, and the orange ones. Oh, and the sour cherry gum is fun too!!!
