Cooperative winter weather results in mini hiking at Granite Basin Lake...Just in case you're wondering. It seems as if pretty soon there's going to be a lot more opportunities to hike together coming up...finally. I think we've both been missing this aspect of our lives.
You can see Rich modeling his new backpack...I hear it was a gift from someone special (who listens well...and knows her sweetie even better...then again, it may be because she jumped at the thought that she no longer has to juggle the tripod or extra water bottles, trading off with the photographer...you see, this backpack has both a water bottle poised above the waterproof camera compartment and a holder for the tripod...it's a perfect day pack.)
Moving through this part of our forest today, in and out of the dappled shadows, breathing the cool winter air and witnessing the juniper and oak dressing hanging out their mistletoe in the branches...pure winter heaven.

I love seeing all the mistletoe in the trees this time of year. Makes me want to reach up and grab it.
I always loved seeing the mistletoe in the trees, since I was a child...am really enjoying your Holiday Presence postings, Miss S.
Look forward to each day, to see what's next!
Yay for pure winter heaven and yay for more hikes!!!
