Playing With The Sun...

Yesterday morning
I bounded out of bed and started my day...and I mean bounded! We don't set our clocks back or forward here in Arizona (so there's not pesky having to remember anything other than, "what time is it in _____" when we have to call someone or watch something on TV) and I noticed that the day felt really different. This morning I noticed a surge in energy that left me actually sitting around relaxing before I left the house for work (early mind you, as there were a few errands to be run) instead of wishing for more time, and having to give up the idea of certain things being accomplished...

It was almost luxurious...

The sun was shining brighter and earlier and sneaking into the corners of the house, where it hasn't been seen since last summer. Meena is scratching at the door to be let out more often.

And when she was inside she took a rather unnatural interest in my little Paul Frank monkey ornament that is hanging on my fireplace (I mean, I like monkeys, but I don't like-like monkeys...Maybe it was the patch of sun she suddenly found herself in?) she concentrated on this little monkey rubbing up against him with her cheeks and loving on him and eventually biting him...

It was a little strange. I was wondering if I should leave the room and give those two their privacy?

Well, I suppose we're moving towards spring...

I guess everyone is feeling a little more frisky...

Happy Springing Forward!!

Just dropped in through the Blogspot Search. Time springing forward... Not good for my internal clock! It felt like jet lag! :-)

Don't you just love bursts of energy? I'm waiting for the eventual feeling. . . but it's taking its time getting here.

And clearly, I need to move to Arizona. I hate this time change thing. Talk about doing a number on a person!!

um, so what time is it at your house if it is 12 noon at mine?LOL I LOVE the time change here, having that extra hour of daylight just as the days start getting longer is heavenly! Of course, when the power fails and the alarm clock gets reset improperly, sometimes that early morning darkness causes people to sleep later than usual. Like 7:40 late, like almost 2 hours later than we were supposed to. Yes, it happened to us! Just today in fact!
