Eavesdropping...

Synopsis: Sometimes you've just got to wonder why you choose your particular career.

Setting: Random Resale Clothing Store
*downtown*

Wife: "Do you think _______ (insert appropriate picky teenager's name whom all of a sudden has more taste than anyone else in the known world here) would like this top?"

Husband: "I don't know...I really don't...I guess I just don't know about those things anymore..."

Clothing Store Owner: (using her inside the head voice) (and her inside the head roll-of the-eyes) Well, let's see here...you're wearing green crocs and by the smell of it...a bottle of self-tanning lotion, so in this instance, I'm thinking the young lady in question may be right.

I know these are popular shoes...and I may have just offended someone...but, as these are described as beach clogs and we're in Arizona, far from water...I just wonder. Plastic enclosed shoes in the desert seem like a strange choice for footwear to me...yes, I see that they have air holes, but unless you're using them to store snakes, I still wonder about the plastic-ness...although they come in a range of rainbow colors...

I suppose though, one should be happy that the man was not wearing those little charms in them.

I've never actually tried them on, but it seriously strikes me as one step up from wearing shoes that secure with velcro...

Who knows, I could put them on and never look back again. :)

I bought a chartreause pair for when I'm working out in the yard, they're sweaty, they gave me blisters and I kept tripping. Riley really liked her little pink ones though. But we don't wear the charms.

I used to think (and say) the same thing about Crocs. But, that was before I tried a pair on. Now, I don't care if they are the ugliest shoe on earth . . .they ROCK!!

I LOVE MY CROCS!! They are bright green and soooo comfortable! I use them now as my backyard/gardening shoes and truly, if I had a lot of money, I'd by a pair in every color!!!
This desert rat loves crocs! But, um...I'm not offended.... could never be by you, dear friend! : )

loooove my Crocs...work in the medical field, they look cute with scrubs, are very comfortable, and quiet when you walk in them....but, no hard feelings here, they're not for everyone!! the shoes I just don't get are Birkenstocks...not for me AT ALL, but so many people just love them...

I went through a croc phase - they are totally comfortable and make cute pics.. but I can't bring myself to wear them anymore.

I really extremely dislike crocs. What's worse is that on casual day my boss wears crocs with socks. GAH! Socks with any type of sandal is one big ol' NO NO!!!!

(I feel better now.)
