Well...my last post for a while (I think...mostly because I don't know when I'll get to a computer in Italy!) So, here goes...I would love to say something poetic and beautiful about how much I will miss you, but being in the space I've been in, I can't seem to find the words to quite express myself...Just know that you will be missed!
This last week was fun for thrifting! I got this very cool chair...for only $5! It is black with a very wonderful tapestry pattern on the upholstery...which I also took a close-up of...(notice the fabulous monkey pattern! Yes, they are holding little red umbrellas!)

And I got these wonderful pieces of fabric...plaid all the way on the left (in a bag of other fabric and fun doll crafting books for $1.00) some flannel rubber duckies and a bit of seersucker with yellow gingham checks and cherries (both for about $1.00) and a bit of vintage Raggedy Ann and Andy pioneer fabric (50 cents) and a super cute vintage sewing kit housed in a little suitcase...a souvenir of fabulous Modesto California! ($1.00)
Also...this great vintage and can you say 1960's apron? It is so outrageous in person...I may actually wear it when I carry my 60's knitting bag! Day-glo me...
And these wonderful slippers which I will be taking with me on my trip so my tosies don't get cold...(50 cents thank you!)
And the best...a super huge package for my birthday from my dad with some flight information and paperwork, a card...and this uber-ginormous sock monkey...yes he's almost as tall as me! How I love this guy. My friend Marrianne suggested I put him in bed with me, but I was worried that I would totally freak out in the middle of the night and grab the crowbar...yes I have a crowbar by the side of the bed (something left over from my "brave" ex!) and I just can't bear the thought of hurting the monkey!

Doesn't he just look perfect in the new chair?
